Get Reel — Although humans have enjoyed the sustenance and recreation that fishing has provided for thousands of years; over fishing, pollution and climate change threaten to eradicate many of the fish and other marine species we depend on for food, medicines and other products. While pollution and climate change reduce habitat for marine species, growing world populations and economies increase demand for the bounty they provide. Many scientists feel that current rates of fishing are not sustainable. Also, over half of all reefs worldwide are being degraded beyond repair which could result in the mass extinctions of marine species and loss of food for millions across the globe.
